St. Augustine, 2017 Edition

I liked St. A. last winter. It has history, beaches, nature preserves, and a modest supply of museums, restaurants, and such. So why not do it again? I did: same condo, same friend (Hope) to fly down and begin the adventure with me, same time of year.

They even had the same Nights of Lights, the annual holiday lighting extravaganza in the Old City.

'

I enjoyed it all more this year, because (a) we got here a little earlier and I had two nights to wander around bedazzled, and (b) it's been warm, so an evening stroll was nothing short of delicious. They claim there are a million lights; I think there may be more.

What a great way to begin the month!

  3. Light festival looks great--must be beautiful in person! Glad your enjoying your FL vacation. It's wicked cold here in Bangor, and more snow on the way .
